Step 1 of 5Where & how

Where is the pain?

How did it start?

How long has this been going on?

No pain–Worst imaginable

Understand what may be happening

Start with a clear explanation—not assumptions

Women’s bodies experience specific loads and changes across life—from pregnancy to menopause. Women’s physiotherapy considers these alongside general musculoskeletal assessment, so care for back pain, for example, can also account for pelvic health or postpartum recovery where relevant.

Private, respectful and consent-led

You should understand why any assessment is being suggested and what it involves. Sensitive examination is never automatic and should only happen when appropriate, with your informed consent.

Our approach

Care built with you, not simply given to you

01

Begin with your story, priorities and the activities you want to return to.

02

Explain findings in clear language, with time for questions and shared decisions.

03

Build a practical plan that may include education, hands-on care and progressive movement.

04

Review progress and adapt care to your comfort, goals and stage of life.

Your appointment

What can care work toward?

The focus depends on your assessment and priorities. Goals may include understanding symptoms, improving movement or coordination, managing discomfort, building capacity and returning to meaningful activities with greater confidence.

Your first visit

  • A conversation about symptoms and goals
  • Explanation of appropriate assessment options
  • Time for questions and shared decisions
  • An initial plan you understand
